24By7Security Looks Forward to Adding New Value for Clients and Teammates

Today we are posting from Las Vegas, Nevada, where a 24By7Security team is onsite as an exhibitor and learning machine at the annual HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition. The security and information technology event of the year in the healthcare industry, HIMSS21 is taking Las Vegas by storm this week, August 9-13, 2021.

The 24By7Security team will return to our South Florida headquarters with new perspectives on healthcare security and IT. They’ll also return with exciting information about new technologies and software that are pertinent to cybersecurity in the healthcare industry. Our learning this week will add value for our clients and updates to our healthcare-related services well into 2022.

HIMSS Role in Healthcare Industry

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), originally founded as the Hospital Management Systems Society in 1961, is headquartered in Chicago. It is an American not-for-profit organization under US 501(c)6.

In addition to more than 100,000 individual members, HIMSS counts 480 provider organizations, 470 non-profit partners, and 650 health services organizations among its membership. HIMSS is the largest organization of its kind in healthcare and sponsors the most comprehensive annual health conference and exhibition in the world.

HIMSS is dedicated to advocating and enabling the best uses of information technology and management systems throughout the healthcare industry. Its goal is to improve healthcare quality, safety, cost-effectiveness, and access through systems and technology.

HIMSS21 Attendees

Some 75,000 are attending HIMSS21 this week in Las Vegas. They come from all over the world, seeking to learn about the latest innovations in healthcare security and information technology. These healthcare professionals ranging from senior executives, healthcare providers, and insurers, to IT and security consultants, to market suppliers, government officials, and entrepreneurs in the healthcare field.

HIMSS21 Venues in Vegas

The week’s activities are taking place in three buildings: the Venetian-Sands Expo Center, the brand-new Caesars Forum Conference Center, and the newly expanded Wynn meeting space. The Sands and Caesars buildings are connected by a sky bridge, and shuttles serve all three buildings for the convenience of attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and staff.

More than 730 companies are exhibiting at HIMSS21. 24By7Security is proud to be among them this week in partnership with our friends at MedSec.

HIMSS21 Awards

On Wednesday, August 11, a celebratory, black-tie-optional event features an evening of networking, dinner, good cheer, and awards. HIMSS will be honoring “individuals, groups, and organizations from around the world who have made outstanding contributions to health information and technology in the past year.”
